Now I know I'm *really* slacking off...

We had our first "official" ultrasound last Friday and it was fantastic. My mother and The G were in attendance. The bambino looks great-spine is perfect, brain looks good, no space between the lip and nose (cleft lip/palate), and is growing nicely. We also learned, thanks in part to my mother's overzealousness and the doctor not reading the second page of the report, that the bambino is a little boy. My mother was so sure it was a girl that when the doctor said "it looks like outdoor plumbing to me", she had to sit down and was in shock! The G says he's just happy everything looks right and is working correctly but I think secretly he's tickled pink that it's a boy. I know *I* am excited for him that we're having a son.
