Pain, I'll say it again, PAIN!

Okay, so I stole the line from Depeche Mode but it sums things up nicely.

I am in pain. Have been for several weeks now, originally believing I might have another kidney stone and eventually finding that we can't figure out what the dealio is. I don't have my appendix anymore, yet where my scar is happens to be the direct line to the pain train. The surgeon who checked me last week tried to kill me, I mean find a hernia, but didn't. I've been exposed to x-rays at Dr Jeff's, a CT scan and an ultra-sound...all in the last month or so. Anyway, the surgeon is going to suggest my Dr D that we get me set up to see a pain specialist (whodathunk?) and see if we can control it. We're talking injections here people. Right into my lower belly. Makes me think of the way they used to (and maybe still do) treat Rabies.

On the upside of things, my new furniture arrived yesterday, my car has been fixed so I don't sound like "that car" anymore, and The G actually bought some things for the apartment last night (I know, shock of all shock). Also, %%diary-oddly-enough%% has mentioned sending me coupons for free beverages from *$ which makes me happy. I really need to email my cousin Brian in Chicago and see if he can snag me a Hermie finger puppet. He looks SO much like The G, it's eerie!
