Okay, so it's been a while since I've posted. Sue me.

Main reason behind the lack of posting is due to the fact that I have felt like absolute hell for weeks now and while this second round (actually third if you counted the shot of rocepherin that I got in my ass cheek last Thursday as a round) of antibiotics seem to be doing more for me than that first one, I had a kidney stone on Friday that had me on the phone, begging my mother to take me to the ER if Dr Hong said to go (which he called back and told me to do) and I spent a good part of that day in pain and feeling pretty wretched. My ears STILL hurt and now so does my back since we don't know if I passed the stone or not. All I know is that my copay for vicodin is VERY cheap yet my antibiotics are at the other end of the copay scale. Something about that just seems very wrong...

Am more than halfway through with Potter #5 and I'm enjoying it. I like how he's being a moody, bitchy teenager. It's more realistic than happy go lucky all the time.

Oh, by the way, that bruising is NOT, I repeat NOT relapse induced. The G went with me to the hematologist's office on Thursday and we had labs done that came back with a platelet count of 277! This is fantastic for someone like me who is always sick and has a history of blood troubles. The m.a. there said that my medication could be causing the bruising but to keep an eye on how I'm feeling just in case. I did learn, however, that I will be unable to donate platelets in October. Dr Mathews said "As much as we like to see you, we don't want it to be as regularly as the last time." There's apparently too much risk that if I start donating them, that my body sees it as a shock and will start killing them off for me again, and WE DON'T WANT THAT.
