No pain today....actually no pain after the shower, but it was during that shower when I thought I was being stabbed....

We're going to a wedding shower today at one of The G's many aunts and uncle's homes for a cousin of his and her less-than-enthusiastic fiancee. This guy just emits "go away-I'm better than you" vibes and it pisses me off. My mother in law told me last night that she doubts the turnout will be very good-they never heard from anyone on his side of the family. Hello??? This is a party for your kid and you don't have the nerve to RSVP?? Ugh! Don't even get me going on the guy...he's Mr. Uber Intelligence yet he's so standoffish I don't know how Stacey wants to be with him. She's smart too, don't get me wrong, but she's NICE too, not to mention thin and gorgeous. *sigh* Anyway, we're taking Twister and Taboo for their gifts and if he so much as grimaces, I'll go off on his rude ass for being such a dick to everyone. They've been together for like 8 years but the family only just met him at Christmas and he proposed in February. We were beginning to think the younger sister Kelly would be getting a rock sooner from Nate-this guy is the epitome of "nice guy". He's been to EVERY family function for the last couple of years and he's chatty with everyone. To take on The G's family that early in the relationship...that's one brave person! His mother has something like 7 siblings and of course they all have kids and some of them have kids....it's all very overwhelming. More power to ya, Nate-you've got my vote.

Had better get my ass moving...it's a 45 minute drive to the aunt's house and I'm not even dressed yet....
