2003-04-19 - 12:21 p.m. I am a multitasking freak of nature today. I had a pot of hard boiled eggs going, celery being chopped for tuna salad, tuna draining, and laundry going in both washers and dryers all at one time. Something was bound to go wrong. While I was out putting quarters in the dryers for round two of dry time, my water for the eggs began to boil-very hard. One of my eggs didn't make it, and sadly, it was destined for the garbage disposal. When I opened it up to see if it had cooked, I was grossed out by the nasty texture and semi-done, semi-rawness of the egg and immediately tossed down the disposal, blades already running. Someone took it upon themselves to leave a hamper full of dirty clothes next to the washers. No note, no quarters, no detergent, and no OWNERS. I wasn't going to wait around all morning to see if the culprit would show their face, so I jumped ahead and got my wash going. And in case they thought they'd just sneak a load in, I've got two more in the wings. I've actually got more than that, and I plan to use it to my advantage; Hogging the washers and dryers on the weekend is what others here do, so it's my turn to piss people off. You'd think I'd take a cue from Kebby, who does laundry every day but the thing of it is...I never have change. Dimes are no trouble, and we've got more than our share of pennies and nickles, but those quarters...those are the coin of mystery. At night I'll lay them out, laundry load at a time, and when I get up, only the dimes are left. The G takes them for the machines at work that often take dollars, but that would mean he'd have to bring change home and well, let's face it, he doesn't like to have extra stuff jangling in his pockets. He's anal that way too. Dammit Katielou, I miss ya! Get back from VLV so I can catch up with you!!!
