Neuritis and Meniere's Disease. Those are the terms given to me to demystify the balance problems. After two hours of having my ears flushed with cold and hot water, respectively, as well as doing the whole "click the button when you hear the tones" and the tests for vertigo, I got two happy little terms. Neuritis and Meniere's Disease. I drove home with a script for Valium-will help with the dizziness; water pills to help with the excessive residual fluid; antibiotics for the cough I seem to have once again resurfaced; a hugesmile on my face because I finally know what the hell is wrong with me. Hoping that the bloodwork I had done today will show an improvement, however I'm doubting it since I'm not feeling any better.

The G is "streppy", to quote Barbie the P.A. She's given him a Z-Pack and instructions to help himself to some of my Phenergan and rest for the next day or so before returning to work. Great. We live in a very small one bedroom apartment. Do you have any idea how tough it is to stay clear of The Streppy G when we have so little room to move around as it is? My guess is I'll have it (or something like it) in less than a week. Anyone want to put money on it?
